What our clients say

People behind the comparisons, there when it matters.

IPMIAsia is run by Cogotec, the broker founded by Mo. These are clients in their own words.

I have been a client for four years. Mo has been super helpful, first in choosing the right plan, then in helping me with claims, and most importantly in being there when I need him.

Greg V.Client for four years

We were at the hospital with my son after an accident and the hospital was insisting that we pay first. We messaged Mo at 7pm on a Saturday and he made sure the insurer and the hospital were communicating, so we did not have to pay first.

Rachel P.Family client

I met Mo several years ago and my family and my business have been clients ever since. There have been issues, mainly with the insurer, but Mo has always been there to solve them.

Questions, answered

What is IPMIAsia?
IPMIAsia is a free comparison site for international health insurance, built for expats and families living in Asia. Its AI assistant, Nomi, asks a few questions about where you live, your age, who needs cover and your preferences, then compares 20+ international insurers and ranks them on price. IPMIAsia is a trading name of Cogotec Ltd, registered in Hong Kong, and is an insurance intermediary.
Which Asian countries does IPMIAsia cover?
IPMIAsia publishes country guides for Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines and Japan, and Nomi can compare plans for expats living elsewhere in Asia too. Enter your true country of residence, because insurers price and set eligibility by where you live. An indicative result is not confirmation that an insurer will offer cover.
Do you compare local plans as well as international ones?
Mostly international plans, which cover you across a chosen area and move with you. IPMIAsia also profiles some country-specific products, such as APRIL Thailand, APRIL Singapore and Bupa's VHIS series in Hong Kong, so you can see how a local option compares with a global one. Availability depends on your residence, nationality and the insurer's rules.
Should I choose Asia-only or worldwide cover?
Choose the smallest area that includes every country where you would want planned treatment: your residence, the hospital hub you would use for something serious, and your home country. Regional Asia cover costs less; worldwide excluding the USA suits people who travel further or go home for treatment. Include the USA only if you genuinely need treatment there.
Can I get cover with a pre-existing condition?
Usually you can get cover for everything else, with the condition covered, excluded, restricted or priced differently depending on the insurer and the underwriting route. Insurers offer full medical underwriting, a moratorium or, when you switch, continued exclusions from your previous plan. Nomi can show which routes each insurer offers; the insurer decides acceptance in writing.
Is it free to use?
Yes. IPMIAsia does not charge you to use Nomi for a comparison or an indicative quote, and there is no obligation to buy. IPMIAsia is paid by the insurer only if you take out a policy, so the comparison costs you nothing.
Is my data safe?
IPMIAsia collects the personal, contact, residence, nationality, age, cover-preference and optional health information needed to run your comparison. It may be shared with insurers, experienced brokers and service providers to produce quotes and arrange cover. It is not sold and is not used to train public third-party AI models. The Privacy Policy sets out the full wording and your rights.
Can I speak to a real person?
Yes. Nomi can connect you with an experienced broker who can answer questions, help with underwriting and arrange cover. IPMIAsia is an insurance intermediary and a trading name of Cogotec Ltd, registered in Hong Kong under company number 3185512. Ask for the broker's own registration details before relying on expert advice.
Are the prices guaranteed?
No. Prices and plans returned by Nomi are indicative and depend on the information you provide. The insurer confirms the final premium, policy terms and whether it will accept the application during underwriting. Medical history, the people insured and the cover you select can change the final offer.
